Blue Law OntarioWill the Blue Laws return? This is the question on the minds of quite a few dedicated Christians waiting for Jesus’ return.

What are the Blue Laws? These are laws that are to force individuals, against their will, to stop working on Sunday. According to

A state or local law that prohibits commercial activities on Sunday.Blue laws have been part of U.S. Legal History since the colonial period. These laws, which today are usually referred to as Sunday closing laws, prohibit certain types of commercial activity on Sundays. Originally these laws were directed at personal activities regarded as moral offenses, such as gambling or the consumption of alcohol. In the nineteenth century, however, state and local governments passed laws that forbade businesses from operating on Sunday. Although these laws were clearly based on Christian beliefs, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that they do not violate the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause. Many blue laws have been repealed since the 1960s, but some laws that ban the sale of alcohol on Sunday remain in force.

In the UK there are some laws that were written in the Victorian Era, 1800’s, these laws were either forgotten or ignored for all these years until now. These laws are coming back and without any discussion in parliament, all to protect the foreign bases of the United States. These Laws include arrest for taking pictures, tenting and not picking up after your dog. RT news explain this in the following video:

Victorian Laws: UK to ban public from US air bases in Britain

So what is the problem? Well the Blue Laws are to protect people to worship on a particular day, Sunday. Though there is no Scriptural evidence for the change of the day of worship, Saturday Sabbath to Sunday Worship (Pagan origins), the thought of enforcing people to worship on a particular day is against the concept of free choice which is promoted by the Bible and many country’s, particularly the US, constitution. Most of the States in the US have Blue Laws already, some were put in place when the puritans arrived but they are not enforced now. Are these laws waiting for a legislator to breathe some life back into them? If the UK are so willing to do this to protect foreign military forces then why not in the US?

Back in the 1890’s these laws were going to be implemented by the United States Federal Government. Though they had already been implemented in one way or another by 49 out of the 50 states, a federal law would have enshrined Sunday worship in the United States, which is contrary to the constitution. The following video shows the arguments taken by Senator Blair and the powerful defense for religious freedom by Alonzo T. Jones:

The Sunday Law & Religious Freedom

The Bible clearly says that in the last days there will be a political government which will force people, by using laws and the military, to worship Satan instead of God. It will be a mark that will separate God’s followers and Satan’s, it will be about worship.

Revelation 13:15-17 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Black Friday PetitionThough there are some organisations that are promoting strict Sunday Observance, there is also a growing grass roots movement supporting legislators to enforce organisations and prevent them to open on days that are considered ‘sacred’, for example Thanks Giving. There is a new phenomenon that has come to America, the midnight of Thanks Giving day, a day where families get together to supposedly be thankful for what they have, thousands of people now line the streets just to buy the latest luxuries at the cheapest price, foBlue Laws Black Fridayr one day only, nick named: Black Friday. People are now calling legislators to write laws to protect the ‘sanctity’ of Thanks Giving, with one petition has reached over 200,000 signatures. Could this happen to Sunday?

There is evidence that Sunday laws have been active in many countries around the world. Italy, the home of the Catholic Church, has enacted such laws as the following video shows:

We at Righteousness is Love Ministries do not ask ‘if’ but ‘when’ these unconstitutional & un-Biblical laws are put into practice not just in America but universally. We pray that we are already prepared in our hearts to stand for what God has blessed and sanctified: the Saturday Sabbath.

Genesis 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
