Abraham is one of the most known characters in the Bible, we remember singing when we are young: Father Abraham had many sons, I am one of them and so are you, so lets just praise the Lord. But while we were singing this ‘fun’ song we did not realise the importance of this song, and the story of Abraham. Paul clearly says
Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Having the faith of Abraham is Righteousness by Faith today, believing God at His word no matter what, that He will do for you that which you cannot do for yourself and laying the glory of man to the dust.
Faith of Abraham – Norman McNulty
Though we do not promote drama, TV or theater, sometimes one does come along that will lift our soul up to the Lord. The following is a beautiful interpretation of the story of Abraham:
Abraham the Movie
Even though we have promoted this movie, we must be careful with more modern renditions of Biblical movies,in particular two movies that have exploded into the Movies last year was Exodus: Gods and Kings and Noah. Are the a true depiction of the biblical stories? We have mentioned a few times about the dangers of Gnosticism, the cult that turns the character of God from good to evil and Satan’s from evil to good. Most modern movies are full of Gnostic themes and these two movies are no exception. Good Fight Ministries (we don’t agree with everything they say) explains, in good details, how these modern movies are made, not only to make money, but to deceive even the very elect:
